| 41 members feasted at the Fisher Bay Restaurant - a cozy spot overlooking Oneida Lake on a day so cold and windy that no one wanted to paddle prior to the banquet. The setting was perfect for the group and the food was delicious. Photographer Roger Harrod set up a slide show of the shots he took this past season, as the group took advantage of the opportunity to catch up on each other's lives as well as discuss great places to paddle next season. There was lots of applause for Rick & Cindy Phillips for the work they put in on the web site as well as making sure all the weekly paddles are monitored and new people welcomed. Roger was also thanked heartily for his photographic efforts. Howard Dowlen was recognized for his diligence in making sure all the ladies were helped into and out of their boats every week. A true gentleman! There was lots of anticipation for the Lights on the Lake paddle and the after-paddle "Retreat" repeat. |
