Last Sunday's clearing skies brought out 19 paddlers for a leisurely go around Horseshoe Island in the Oneida River near the 3 Rivers confluence with very few motor boats out yet. A number of the group beached at the half-way point to stretch legs, have a snack, etc. with the only mishap being Ron's Epic's rudder malfunctioning which needed some duct tape temporarily. With the afternoon winding down 12 people proceeded to the Euclid restaurant for some chicken and biscuits in honor of our missing Walt and various other good dishes to go with some more conversation. Plans were made accepting an invitation from Gene and Tish Evans to their home on the Seneca River following next Sunday's paddle out of Lion's Club Park through Lock 24 and back. Please see our website for details.
