Eleven die-hards paddled out from the Horseshoe Island put-in, up-river to Mud Creek, to adventure up it for a significant ways before it got shallow and blocked by a downed tree. For our lunch break appeared leftover Halloween candy. Kim W was greatly enjoying her last paddle before knee replacement surgery on Tuesday. The 52 degree air temperature, 46 degree water temperature, and patchy sunshine tempered by a stiff little northwest wind was approaching our lower limit of enjoyable weather. Dinner at the Euclid restaurant took care of the appetites worked up in the great outdoors and another Sunday afternoon of kayaking came to a close with next Sunday's close-of-season banquet to gather the fair weather paddlers together for a nice feast at Fisher Bay restaurant. Plans are already afoot for the 2010 schedule.
