We are a group of recreational flat water paddlers who enjoy kayaking on local waters, fresh air and good camaraderie. When waters are open, we take weekly trips, usually on Saturday or Sunday afternoons, to areas like Lake Ontario, Skaneateles and Otisco Lakes, the Seneca River and Fish Creek. All levels of paddlers participate. Participation in the group activities is free. Being a social participant means you have access to the weekly trip information with directions, upcoming activities, etc. It also means you support kayaking in Central New York. As the size of groups coming out to paddle with us have grown, we feel it is a good idea to provide group leaders with a "safety kit", including FRS radios, a GPS unit, first aid kit, spare paddle, etc. We also want to purchase several things on behalf of the group, and these all cost money. There is a second category of participation - paddling participant. To support the costs and activities of the group, there will be a donation of $1 per paddle to those who show up for a paddle. Or, you can make a donation for the whole year of $10 per person or $25 for your entire immediate family. You will not only be supporting the group activities and can paddle free for the rest of the season, you will receive discounts at area stores (e.g. 10% off all purchases at Camillus Kayak Shop). You will also receive a laminated participation card and car decal.
