Otisco Lake

Approximately 6-8 Miles
Otisco Lake provides a variety of scenery, from few buildings on the southwest end, to small camps, to some very nice year-round houses. Paddling can range from very easy to more difficult, depending upon strength and direction of winds. Plan on paddling 6-8 miles, depending upon the group. Please be sure that you are properly dressed for the paddle and have all appropriate equipment.
We will meet at 1:00 PM at Footprints Restaurant which is located on the west side of the lake (See Directions Below).
Directions from Syracuse and the east: Take Route 20 west from Interstate 81 in LaFayette. Continue west and turn left onto Route 174 which is east of Skaneateles and is located just past the Moondance Restaurant which you will see on your left. Approximately 3.1 miles from this intersection, Route 174 will make a right turn. This turn is just past the Marietta House. Continue on Route 174 to Footprints Restaurant which will be located on the right. They have asked us to use the parking area on the north side of the building.
Alternate Directions From Syracuse: Take Route 175 out of Syracuse toward Marcellus and Skaneateles. After a long downhill stretch outside of Marcellus, Route 175 takes a left turn at a flashing yellow light. Continue to follow Route 175 to Route 174. Turn left onto Route 174 and continue to Route 20. Route 174 follows Route 20 west for a very short distance. Be sure to follow the Route 174 signs. Just past the Moondance Restaurant, Route 174 turns left off of Route 20. Approximately 3.1 miles from this intersection , Route 174 will make a right turn. This turn is just past the Marietta House. Continue on Route 174 to Footprints Restaurant which will be located on the right.
