Delta Lake State Park Paddle and Picnic

Delta Lake State Park is located located on Delta Lake Reservoir north of Rome. They have a nice beach and picnic area. We are also planning on having an informal picnic at the park after the paddle instead of stopping at a restaurant, so bring sandwiches and something to pass. We are trying to avoid the need to cook something, so keep that in mind. There is a fee for entering the park. Please be sure that you are properly dressed for the paddle and have all appropriate equipment. We will meet at the park boat launch at 12:00 PM.

Directions from Syracuse: If you are not familiar with the area, we will meet at Thruway exit 34A off of Route 481 at 11:00 AM and caravan to the launch site.

Alternate Directions from Syracuse: If you wish to go directly to Delta Lake, take the NYS Thruway east to exit 33 in Verona. Turn right onto Route 365 and continue to Rome, NY. Take Route 49 into Rome and then turn right onto Route 46. Continue on Route 46 approximately 6 miles to Delta Lake State Park.
