Approximately 10-12 Miles
Two different launch sites
Group 1 Best For Experienced Paddlers

Group 2 Best for Novice

There will be two groups. Group 1 will launch at 11 a.m. and group 2 will launch at 12. Group 2 must wait for Group 1 to arrive before they launch.

Kayuta Lake is located on the way to Old Forge. The paddle is through a series of small lakes and is approximately 10-12 miles round trip. We will meet at the launch site at 11:00 AM (See Directions Below). The paddle is much longer than our local paddles and wind conditions are usually very strong on the return leg. Please evaluate your abilities prior to participating. Also, be sure that you are properly dressed for the paddle and have all appropriate equipment. A spray skirt would be helpful. If there is interest, we can go to the Buffalo Head Inn in Forestport for dinner after the trip.
