"Lights on the Lake" Paddle"

Here we go for our annual “Lights on the Lake” Paddle.  We will be paddling along the eastern shore of Onondaga Lake. From the launch site, we will paddle south along the eastern shore to the area near the entrance of "Lights on the Lake" off the Onondaga Lake Parkway and wait for the lights to be turned on. At that time, we will return along the shore to view the "Lights in the Lake" display. Because of the time of year, this trip is only for experienced paddlers who are properly prepared for cold weather and cold water conditions.

We will be launching from the West Lake Trail Parking Lot at Longbranch Park. Launch time is 3:30 PM. All paddlers must wear a US Coast Guard approved PFD. 

After Paddle Party Hugh and Jodi have invited everybody back to their house for an after paddle party and they have indicated that they will be providing all the food.  They would like to know how many people are coming and have asked that you respond by leaving a message on the message board. Hugh and Jodi 4187 Antler Ln, Liverpool, NY Directions: From village of Liverpool, take Rt 57 north to Soule Road.  Turn right on Soule Rd.  Past railroad tracks, turn right on Fairway Dr. East.  Then, take first left onto Antler Lane. Or use Google Maps or Mapquest to get directions. Note:  Be sure to check the Web site in the event that the weather dictates that we cancel the paddle.  However, the party is still on.  See you there.

Directions To The Launch Site: Take Route 370 north from the village of Liverpool. After you cross the bridge over the NYS Thruway, turn left onto Longbranch Road. Follow Longbranch Road across the single lane steel bridge. The launch site is at the West Shore Trail parking area which is on your left after you cross the bridge.
