Seneca River - Mud Lock
Sunday, July 26, 2009

Usually we paddle out to Cayuga Lake, but this year we are going to try something different. This year we will paddle on the Seneca River to Seneca Falls. The water is somewhat sheltered, so the paddle should be good for newer paddlers. Please be sure that you are properly dressed for the paddle and have all appropriate equipment. We will meet at the launch site at 1:00 PM. Note: The trip report that you will see from our trip last year is a little different from the trip scheduled for this year.

Directions From Syracuse: Take Routes 5 & 20 west out of Auburn. Just after the junction of New York State Route 90 (Not the Thruway) you will cross a substantial metal bridge over the river. After the bridge, there will be a left turn into the state boat launch. The GPS coordinates are N42° 57.719’ and W 076° 44.343’.

Please Note: Directions for each trip are provided to help people unfamiliar with the area to find the location of the trip. They are not meant to necessarily be the most direct route from your own location.
